Rompetrol Rafinare SA Company Profile

Rompetrol Rafinare S.A., together with its subsidiaries, engages in the manufacture and sale of petroleum products and petrochemicals and related services primarily in Romania. It operates through three segments: Refining, Petrochemicals, and Marketing. The Refining segment operates the Petromidia and Vega refineries, producing a range of fuels and specialty products, including gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, bitumen, solvents, hexane, and LPG. The Petrochemicals segment manufactures and markets polymers, including polypropylene and low-density polyethylene, as well as other petrochemical products. The Marketing segment engages in the wholesale and retail distribution of fuels and LPG through a national network of stations and depots, and provides associated logistics, storage, and quality control services. It is also involved in the fuel storage and transportation, quality control, fuel and lubricant retail trade, electricity distribution, and wastewater treatment activities, as well as utility distribution for instrumental and technical air, fire and potable water, hot and raw water, condensate, filtered water, fuel refinery gases, and thermal energy. The company exports its products. The company was formerly known as Petromidia. Rompetrol Rafinare S.A. was founded in 1979 and is headquartered in Navodari, Romania.
