The company operates through three segments: Animal Nutrition, Fish Feed, and Compound Feed & Meat Iberia. The Animal Nutrition segment produces and sells young animal feeds for ruminants under Sprayfo and Milkivit brand names; young animal feeds for swine under the Milkiwean brand; preventive animal health products for ruminants, poultry, and swine under Farm-O-San brand name; functional feed additive products under the Selko Feed Additives brand; premix products primarily under the Trouw Nutrition brand; farm minerals under Maxcare, Bellman, and Quanmei brand names; concentrates under the Hendrix brand name; and precision feeding tool under the brand name of NutriOpt. This segment also offers its products under the Shur-Gain and Landmark Feeds brands to the feed industry, integrators, distributors, and farmers, as well as the companion animal industry. In addition, it owns two poultry hatcheries producing one-day-old chicks; and one hatchery for the production of embryonated eggs for the pharmaceutical industry. The Fish Feed segment produces and delivers feed from hatching to harvest for various species of fish and shrimps. This segment provides its products under the Skretting, Protec, Optiline Premium, and MicroBalance brands. The Compound Feed & Meat Iberia segment provides feed solutions, processing of poultry products, and pig farming, as well as primarily trades for poultry, pigs, and ruminants. Nutreco N.V. was founded in 1994 and is based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. As of March 10, 2015, Nutreco N.V. operates as a subsidiary of SHV Holdings N.V.
