Mercury NZ Limited, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the production, trading, and sale of electricity and related activities in New Zealand. The company operates through Generation/Wholesale, Customer, and Other segments. It operates nine hydro power stations with total of 4,452 GWh hydro generation; five geothermal stations with total of 2,622 GWh geothermal generation; and five wind stations with total of 1,995 GWh wind generation. The company also provides its multi-product utility services to residential, small-to medium-sized business, industrial, and wholesale customers. In addition, it provides piped natural gas and bottled LPG; broadband, mobile, and moving house services. The company offers its products and services under the GLOBUG, Trustpower, and Mercury brands. The company was formerly known as Mighty River Power Limited and changed its name to Mercury NZ Limited in July 2016. Mercury NZ Limited was incorporated in 1998 and is based in Auckland, New Zealand.
