It also distributes intrusion detection, surveillance, access control, and fire detection equipment; two-way radios and satellite communications; solar power and storage solutions for commercial, industrial and residential markets; and cooking, heating, and outdoor products. The Engineering Consumables segment distributes diesel engines and spares, and support services; bearings, chains, belting, industrial hose, seals, electric and geared motors, and power transmission products; fire detection, containment, and suppression; filtration solutions, kits, and accessories to mining, process, and manufacturing markets; thermoplastic pipes, and fittings and equipment; thermal and electrical insulation materials; and variable speed drives, electric motors, electrical cabling, plugs, sockets, and related products. It also manufactures and distributes hydraulic and pneumatic products; drivetrains; dragline hoses and plastic welding rods; hardening of round, hexagonal and hollow steel bar, key steel, bending steel for dished ends, and manufacture of conveyor drive pulleys and idlers, as well as ferrous and non-ferrous castings. The company was founded in 1891 and is based in Edenvale, South Africa.
