High Plains Gas, Inc., together with its subsidiaries, provides construction, repair, and maintenance services primarily to the energy and energy related industries principally located in Wyoming, North Dakota, Montana, Oklahoma, and Texas. It engages in designing, constructing, upgrading, and repairing midstream infrastructure, such as pipelines, compressor stations, and related facilities for onshore locations, as well as for downstream facilities, which include refineries; provides specialty turnaround services, tank services, heater services, and construction services; fabricates specialty items for hydrocarbon processing units; and undertakes maintenance and small capital projects for transmission and distribution facilities for electric and natural gas utilities. The company also engages in the exploration and production of natural gas, natural gas liquids, and crude oil in the Powder River Basin located in northeastern Wyoming and southeastern Montana. As of December 31, 2011, it had 6,303,414 thousand cubic feet of net estimated proved gas reserves; owned 653 methane wells; and held 155,000 net acres. The company is headquartered in Gillette, Wyoming.
