Today, a U.S. CDC advisory panel voted in favor of the widespread use of updated COVID-19 vaccines for individuals aged 6 months and older with a vote of 13 in favor and 1 opposed.
Updated COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) and partner BioNTech, as well as Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA), approved yesterday by the FDA, could be available at pharmacies and doctors’ offices around the U.S. as soon as later this week.
At the meeting, Pfizer executives said the list price for its COVID-19 vaccine is $120 per dose. Meanwhile, Moderna said their list price is $129 per dose.
