Tesla's (NASDAQ:TSLA) website, late Tuesday, showed the EV automaker has resumed taking orders for its Model 3 long-range version in the United States following a temporary halt last year due to delivery backlogs.
The long-range version of the Model 3 is currently priced at $47,240, about 18.5% less than the $57,990 price the vehicle was selling for last August when Tesla halted taking orders.
"Waitlist is too long. Will enable again as we ramp production," Elon Musk tweeted at that time in response to a user's inquiry about the discontinuation of orders.
The company expects to resume delivery of the long-range Model 3 in June, according to the website. However, the website shows that Tesla is still not accepting orders in Canada.
Shares of TSLA are up 0.25% in pre-market trading on Wednesday.
