BEIJING, Jan 25 (Reuters) -
* China National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC) said on Monday it
has
recorded proven oil and gas geological reserves of 50 million
tonnes oil equivalent at its Huizhou 26-6 field in the east part
of South China Sea
* The field was tested to produce more than 500 cubic metres
of
oil and 600,000 cubic metres of gas each day, said a general
geologist from CNOOC
* The proven reserves at Huizhou were certified by the
Ministry of
Natural Resources, the company said
* "The discovery at the Huizhou field will help improve
clean
energy supply in southern China...and marks a great development
of CNOOC's efforts to increase domestic exploration," said the
statement
