Video-game software company Unity Software Inc (NYSE:U) has reportedly won a U.S. Government contract to provide digital simulation technology for the U.S. government.

According to a Bloomberg report late Wednesday, Unity's announcement of a three-year, multi-million dollar partnership with CACI International Inc., an information technology firm, has seen it gain the contract through the partnership.

Marc Whitten, a senior vice president at Unity, reportedly said on the company's earnings call on Tuesday that Unity will "help the government defining human machine interfaces or HMI for aerospace applications and beyond."

Unity's software is used in 61% of mobile games.

In its earnings report on Tuesday, the company said its deal with CACI is the "single largest Digital Twin Solutions deal for Unity to date and is a strategic deal that helps to solidify Unity as the preferred real-time 3D platform for future systems design and simulation programs across the US Government."

The news follows the announcement by AppLovin (NASDAQ:APP) on Tuesday that it has made an all-stock offer to acquire Unity.
