Jan 15 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening 3 points
lower at 6,799 on Friday, according to financial bookmakers.

* ENTAIN: Entain Plc ENT.L is in advanced talks to appoint Jette
Nygaard-Andersen as its next chief executive, Sky News reported on
Thursday. * RIO TINTO: A U.S. judge denied a request by Native Americans to block the
Trump administration from publishing an environmental study that would trigger a
land swap needed by Rio Tinto Ltd RIO.AX RIO.L to build a copper mine in
Arizona. Rio Tinto separately said it will become North America's first producer
of critical mineral scandium oxide with construction of a commercial-scale
demonstration plant in Quebec. * PETROFAC: Former senior Petrofac Ltd PFC.L executive David Lufkin
pleaded guilty at Westminster Magistrates' Court to three further bribery
offences in relation to oil deals. * SHELL: A consortium of Royal Dutch Shell RDSa.L and ExxonMobil XOM.N
has requested a total of 2.1 billion euros in subsidies for a project in the
North Sea, the Dutch Economy ministry said. * BHP: The operations of BHP's BHP.AX Cerro Colorado copper mine in
water-parched northern Chile have been thrown into doubt after the country's
Supreme Court upheld local indigenous communities' complaint about the project's
water use. * INSURANCE: The cost of a comprehensive motor insurance policy in Britain
fell for a fourth straight quarter, pushed down by coronavirus-led lockdown
measures and subsequent claims, a survey showed. * GOLD: Gold rose as prospects of a substantial U.S. pandemic relief package
boosted the metal's appeal as an inflation hedge. * OIL: Oil prices were lower over concerns of Chinese cities in lockdown due
to coronavirus outbreaks. * The UK blue-chip index .FTSE closed 0.8% higher on Thursday as a slew of
