Investing.com - A Brazilian government minister who met with U.S. President Donald Trump over the weekend has tested positive for the novel coronavirus Thursday, according to newspaper reports.
Press Secretary Fabio Wajngarten, who was at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort Saturday, has tested positive, while there is also a newspaper report that Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro had been tested.
Bolsonaro is being monitored and tested for coronavirus, Brazilian newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo reported Thursday, according to Reuters. The newspaper report did not cite sources.
Brazil’s Bovespa was down more than 15% after its second trading halt of the day.
