MANILA, Jan 23 (Reuters) - The Philippine economy grew 6.4%
in the fourth quarter from a year earlier, the statistics agency
said on Thursday, bringing full-year growth for 2019 to 5.9%.
Economists polled by Reuters had forecast the economy would
expand an annual 6.5% in the last three months of 2019, compared
with the September quarter's year-on-year growth at a revised
6.0%.
Growth for October-December on a quarter-on-quarter basis
will be released later.
