Investing.com -- U.S. crude oil inventories unexpectedly rose last week, according to the Energy Information Administration.
Crude oil inventories rose by 1.956 million barrels against expectations for a draw of 1.314 million barrels.
Distillate stocks rose 0.725 million barrels. The expectation had been for a build of 0.292 million barrels.
Gasoline inventories declined by 0.710 million barrels against expectations for a build of 1.066 million barrels.
