After-Hours Stock Movers:
WD-40 Co. (WDFC) rose 9% after it published its results for the third quarter, with EPS and revenue topping consensus. Management said sales were driven by robust volume growth.
PriceSmart (NASDAQ:PSMT) rose 6% after it reported strong results for the third quarter. Comparable net merchandise sales increased 7.8% for the 13-week period ended June 2.
onsemi (ON) fell 3% after analysts at Morgan Stanley cut their rating on the stock to 'underweight'. The research firm also downgraded Microchip Technology (NASDAQ:MCHP), cutting its rating to 'equalweight''.
Costco (NASDAQ:COST) rose 3% after it announced plans to increase annual membership fees by $5 for U.S. and Canada Gold Star (individual), Business, and Business add-on members. With this increase, all U.S. and Canada Gold Star, Business and Business add-on members will pay an annual fee of $65. Also effective September 1, annual fees for Executive Memberships in the U.S. and Canada will increase from $120 to $130.
Alcoa (NYSE:AA) rose 2.5% after it released preliminary second quarter 2024 results, with EPS and revenue ahead of consensus expectations.
Citigroup (C) fell 1.4% after it was fined $135.6 million by the Fed and Office of the Comptroller for violating a 2020 enforcement action.
