Investing.com – Apparel company Canada Goose sank in afternoon trading Monday following a Barron’s article that again raised the problem the company has with animal cruelty activists.
Shares of Canada Goose Holdings (NYSE:GOOS) tumbled 4% in afternoon trading.
The company “faces a chronic problem that’s become increasingly difficult to ignore,” Barron’s reported Sunday. “The company’s signature parkas are stuffed with goose down and trimmed with coyote fur, and have long been a target of animal-rights activists.”
A Daily Beast article said that the signature jackets could put off potential dating partners, Barron’s noted.
Earlier this month, the company denied a New York Post report citing an analyst who said Canada Goose was marking down its clothes for the holiday season.
