Biography	Prior to joining Grubb & Ellis Alesco Global Advisors, LLC, Benz was the Managing Partner at Phelan Capital from 2005-2007, a real estate focused hedge fund. From 2003-2004, Benz was the Portfolio Manager at American Express Financial, RiverSource Real Estate Fund. While at American Express Financial, Benz also served as Senior Securities Analyst from 1997-2004, Investment Department Liaison from 1995-1997 and as a Certified Financial Planner from 1990-1995.
