It invests in the public equity markets of emerging countries in Eastern Europe, which include Russia, Poland, Hungary, and Czech Republic. The fund uses derivatives such as swap agreements to invest in the stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. It invests in the stocks of large-cap and mid-cap companies. The fund seeks to replicate the performance of the MSCI EM Eastern Europe 10/40 TRN Index, by employing synthetic replication methodology. It was formerly known as db x-trackers - MSCI EM Eastern Europe 10/40 TRN Index ETF. db x-trackers - MSCI EM Eastern Europe Index UCITS ETF was formed on March 31, 2011 and is domiciled in Luxembourg.
