John began his financial services career in 1968 with the Trust Department of Provident National Bank in Philadelphia, where he served as an assistant vice president and investment portfolio manager. In 1979, he joined Stratton Management Company, a predecessor firm of Sterling Advisors, where he served as president and chief executive officer of the company. John serves on numerous civic boards and is currently an Overseer at William Penn Charter School and a Trustee of Woodmere Art Museum and the Philadelphia Orchestra. He earned his bachelor's degree in pre-law from Lafayette College and his MBA from Temple University.

Biography	Stratton founded Stratton Management Company in 1972 and currently serves as chairman and chief executive officer. Stratton serves as a director of the following: Amerigas Propane Ltd., BE&K Corp., Teleflex, Inc. and UGI Corp., Inc. Previously, Stratton served as president and chief executive officer with Drexel Firestone and chairman of the board of trustees of Thomas Jefferson University. Stratton is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research.

Biography	Previously, he spent three years as a corporate officer with Merrill Lynch and four years as a corporate officer with William D. Witter Inc. He also spent nine years as a vice president and partner with Drexel Corporation. Heffernan holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
