Previously, Karim performed both equity and fixed income research at Morgan Stanley Investment Management (including working with the Franchise team) and had project and research roles at a global consulting firm and a mid-tier investment bank. Karim received a B.A. (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at St John’s College, University of Oxford and an MBA from the University of Chicago, and is a CFA® Charterholder.

Previously, Michael worked at NatWest Markets and Unilever. He received a BComm. and a post-graduate diploma in Management, both from the University of Natal. Biography	Hassan is non-executive chair at Independent Franchise Partners, LLP. He has 39 years of investment experience and was previously the Firm’s managing partner and lead investor. Prior to founding the Firm in June 2009, Hassan was a Managing Director and Lead Portfolio Manager at Morgan Stanley Investment Management. Hassan joined Morgan Stanley in 1995 and was responsible for European equity portfolios until assuming responsibility for Global Franchise in April 2002. Hassan stepped away from the Franchise Partners investment team in June 2022, and retired from his day-to-day duties at the Firm

Biography	Paras is a partner and portfolio manager at Independent Franchise Partners, LLP. Paras' investment experience began in 2000. Prior to founding the Firm in June 2009, Paras was Executive Director and a portfolio manager/ research analyst for Global and American Franchise portfolios at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, which he joined in July 2002. Previously, Paras was an equity analyst at JPMorgan Chase and a strategy consultant for Oliver Wyman & Co. Paras received a B.Sc. in Management from the London School of Economics and an M. Phil. in Finance from the University of Cambridge. He is a CFA® Charterholder.
