Biography Will Nasgovitz is CEO of Heartland Advisors and the Heartland Funds. He is the Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Heartland Advisors and since May 2012 has served as Chief Executive Officer of Heartland. Prior to joining Heartland Advisors, Mr. Will Nasgovitz had been a Senior Research Associate with Cambridge Associates from 2000 to 2002. Mr. Will Nasgovitz is the son of Mr. Bill Nasgovitz, President and Director of the Heartland Funds and Portfolio Manager of the Value Fund.

Biography Eric Miller is Vice President and Portfolio Manager for the Heartland Value Fund and its corresponding Small Cap Value Strategy. He returned to Heartland in October 2015 and has a long history with the Firm. He initially joined in 1994 as part of the Sales Team and later transitioned to a Research Analyst. He became Portfolio Manager for the Value Fund and its corresponding Small Cap Value Strategy in 1997, Select Value Fund in 1999, and Value Plus Fund and its corresponding Small Cap Value Plus Strategy in 2003. Miller stepped away from Heartland in 2006 when he relocated to Chicago and joined Advisory Research. He served in several roles during his time at the Firm, including Managing Director, Portfolio Manager, and Research Analyst. He managed both a small-cap and all-cap institutional product before shifting focus to a small-cap opportunity fund. Previously, he spent eight years at American Appraisal Associates, serving briefly as Head of U.S. Operations before becoming Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He also was a Financial Manager at Chilton Company and a Financial Analyst at FMC Corporation. He earned a master’s in accounting and finance and a bachelor’s in political science from Dartmouth in 1979 and 1975, respectively.

Biography Prior to forming Riverwater in 2016, Adam was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Heartland Advisors where he co-managed a multi-billion dollar small-cap value mutual fund. He currently serves on the board of the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Coral Gables Trust Company, and the Endowment Committee of the Milwaukee Public Museum. Adam earned a B.S. in International Relations with a focus on Environmental Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. That focus kindled Adam’s interest in socially responsible living and socially responsible investing. He continued his studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he earned an MBA from the Applied Security Analysis Program. Adam is a CFA® charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute since 2004. Adam has appeared on CNBC, Bloomberg TV & Radio, and Fox Business News. He has also been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, and Bloomberg Business Week, among other publications. Adam lives in Milwaukee with his wife, two sons, and dog, Tucker. Biography Bradford A. Evans, CFA, is Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager for the Value Plus Fund and its corresponding Small Cap Value Plus Strategy. Evans began at Heartland in 1996 as a Research Associate. He was promoted to Equity Research Analyst, during which time he developed expertise in the Energy, Consumer, and Materials sectors. Following nearly four years at High Rock Capital, Evans returned to Heartland as Portfolio Manager for the Value Fund in 2004, which he co-managed until 2015. He became Portfolio Manager of the Value Plus Fund in April 2006 and also was Director of Equity Research from 2011 to 2016. Evans is a vocal advocate for small-cap value investing. He has been quoted by the national financial media, including Barron’s, CNBC, Fortune, Bloomberg, BusinessWeek, and The Wall Street Journal. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor’s in international relations, Russian, and political science in 1995. He also spent a semester studying at Moscow State University in Russia.
