Biography	FREDERICO SAMPAIO, CFA Vice President and Chief Investment Officer LAM Brazil Equity Franklin Local Asset Management Franklin Templeton Investi (Brasil) Ltda. Sao Paulo, Brazil Frederico Sampaio is a vice president and chief investment officer (CIO) of Franklin Templeton Investments Brazil (FTIB). He is responsible for the domestic FTIB equity funds and also Brazil-related funds and institutional accounts distributed outside of Brazil. Previously, he was portfolio manager at Rio Bravo Investimentos and at Fundacao Petros, the pension fund of Petrobras, the Brazilian national oil company. Mr. Sampaio has also worked as economist at Bank of America Asset Management in Brazil. He was member of the board of directors of several Brazilian listed companies, such as Bonaire, Embraco, Hopi Hari and Inepar, and member of the "Conselho Fiscal" (audit board) of CPFL Energia, CPFL Piratininga, Embraco, Banco Alfa and Alfa Financeira. Mr. Sampaio holds a postgraduate and a bachelor's degree in economics from Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio de Janeiro. In 1998 and 1999, Mr. Sampaio was a faculty member at Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio de Janeiro, teaching Economics and Financial Economics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.
