Chadd has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Resource and Economics from The University of Arizona and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University. He is a board member and CFO of The Rising Farmworker Dream Fund and is a Knight in the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. He is a CFA charterholder.

Biography Schwartz, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Schwartz Investment Counsel, Inc, has acted as a portfolio manager and co-portfolio manager. He also serves as director of Schwartz Investment Counsel, Inc., president, chief executive officer and chief investment officer with responsibility for the development and implementation of the investment strategy of the firm. From 1974 to 1980, he was vice president, senior investment officer, and chairman of the Investment Committee of the National Bank and Trust of Ann Arbor. In 1980, George founded Schwartz Investment Counsel, Inc. Schwartz holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Biography Greg is co-manager of the Ave Maria World Equity Fund and co-manager of the Ave Maria Catholic Values Fund. In addition, he manages portfolios for selected private clients. He is also responsible for equity research functions for the Firm. Prior to joining the firm in 2003, Greg was Vice President and Portfolio Manager with Gries Financial LLC in Cleveland, Ohio for four years. From 1987 to 1999, he was a Portfolio Manager and Analyst with BP America. Prior experience included portfolio management responsibilities with Western Reserve Capital Management and two bank trust departments. Greg has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Toledo. He is a CFA charterholder, a member of the CFA Institute and a past President of the Louisville Analysts Society.

Biography Gregg D. Watkins, CFA - Portfolio Manager, has over 40 years of experience in investment management. Previously he served as a Senior Portfolio Manager of Loomis, Sayles & Co. and at Schwartz Investment Counsel. He has also served as Director of Institutional Portfolio Management at Comerica Capital Management and as Manager of the NBD Opportunity Fund at the National Bank of Detroit. Currently, he also works as the corporate secretary and a trustee for the DeRoy Testamentary Foundation. Gregg previously served as trustee on the board of the Children’s Home of Detroit, Providence Health Foundation and The Shaw Festival. He holds a BA degree in History from Yale University and an MBA in Finance from Wayne State University.
