Biography | Fawaz joined the Quantitative Investments Team within Customised Solutions in 2015. He is involved in portfolio management across the full spectrum of funds. He is also involved in quantitative analysis, product development and research. He serves as a consultant to the Indexation team on an offshore mandate and is involved in certain aspects of the business. Fawaz joined Customised Solutions’ Old Mutual Global Index Trackers in February 2013 as an Investment Analyst, where he was responsible for local and international portfolio management, optimisation and implementation. He was also involved in various research projects and product development. Prior to joining Customised Solutions, Fawaz was a Quantitative Analyst within the Risk Research Division at Old Mutual Investment Group for more than a year. He started his asset management career as a Client Relationship Manager at Oasis Group Holdings, and later joined MetAm, where he moved through the ranks in various roles ranging from the Valuations team, to a Hybrid and Structured Investments specialist and eventually the Investment Risk team. Biography | Maahir is responsible for the management of portfolios, improving the investment process and the proactive and professional engagement with clients and service providers. He also conducts research and analysis in the team. Working in the Old Mutual Investment Group portfolio implementation team gave him great exposure to all aspects of both domestic and international investing. He also has a remarkable understanding of investment processes, trading, benchmarks, client mandates and compliance. Maahir attended an Investment Bank internship at JP Morgan Chase. He was also a Quants analyst at Riscura prior to joining the Old Mutual Investment Group Portfolio Implementation Team. Responsibilities included: Portfolio monitoring, implementing trades across various boutiques and ensuring client mandates are correctly applied (Statutory and Internal). Biography | Warren is responsible for constructing and managing portfolios. He worked closely with Old Mutual Investment Group’s chief asset allocation strategist. Warren then joined the quantitative and risk unit when it was formed. Biography | Grant has 17 years of financial markets experience encompassing proprietary trading in currencies, equity derivatives, and hedge fund management. He has been with Futuregrowth Asset Management since 2004, which was acquired by OMIGSA in 2008. He manages various quantitative funds in the hedge funds; absolute return and long space. At OMIGSA – Quantitative Investments, Grant shares joint responsibility for driving the investment process; developing and implementing the Quantitative Investments boutique strategy and creating an enabling environment for the investment team to excel.
