Biography Craig Simpson, who has more than 15 years experience in the investment industry, joined M&G in 2004 as a portfolio manager. In February 2015, he was appointed Head of Portfolio Management for the Multi Asset team and has been co-deputy manager of the Global Target Return strategy since December 2016 and co-manager of the Episode Growth strategy since December 2019. Before joining M&G, Craig was a trainee fund manager at Equitable Life Assurance and an analyst at Pictet Asset Management. He graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a degree in land economics.
David Fishwick - 2015 2022
Biography David Fishwick is CIO of the Macro Investment Business at M&G and has more than three decades of investment management experience. He joined Prudential Portfolio Managers (now M&G Investments) in 1987 as a European economist and subsequently became responsible for forming views on global bond and currency markets and applying them to multi-asset funds. In 1994, David relocated to Australia, where he was appointed head of fixed interest and asset allocation strategy in 1997. During that time, he developed his ideas on market behaviour and designed the strategy, philosophy and process implemented for an overlay mandate for the Prudential Life Fund upon his return to Europe in 1999. In light of the success of this mandate, the Episode Macro strategy, which follows the same philosophy, was launched in 2010. David, who has managed the strategy since launch, has a BSc in economics from Brunel University, London.

Biography Randeep Somel joined M&G in 2005 as a fund managers’ assistant on the Equities team. At different stages between 2013 and 2019 he was fund manager or deputy manager of the Global Themes, Managed Growth, Global Recovery, Global Select, Pan European Select and Positive Impact strategies. In November 2020, he became manager of M&G’s newly-launched Climate Solution strategy. Prior to joining M&G, Randeep worked for State Street in a fund accounting role. He graduated from Birmingham University with a degree in economics in 2003. Randeep has the Investment Management Certificate and is a CFA charterholder.
Richard Woolnough Fund manager 2012 2013
Biography Richard Woolnough joined M&G in January 2004 and is Richard Woolnough manages Optimal Income, Corporate Bond and Strategic Corporate Bond, three of M&G’s flagship fixed income strategies. Richard, who joined M&G in January 2004, began his career at Lloyds Merchant Bank in 1985, moving to Italian insurer Assicurazioni Generali two years later, followed by SG Warburg. In 1995, he became a fund manager at Old Mutual. Richard graduated from the London School of Economics with a BSc in economics.

Biography Graham French joined M&G in 1989 as a graduate from Durham University where he studied geography. His fund management responsibilities include managing the M&G Global Basics Fund and the M&G Managed Growth Fund and co-managing the Vanguard Precious Metals & Mining Fund.
