Biography | Simon Clements joined Liontrust in 2017 following the acquisition of Alliance Trust Investments, where he worked for 5 years. Prior to this, Simon spent 12 years at Aviva Investors (previously Morley Fund Management) where, most recently, he was Head of Global Equities. In his early career, Simon worked as a Portfolio Accountant and Risk and Performance Analyst before joining Aviva Investors in 2000 to help develop its global equity and SRI propositions. Simon is the lead manager of the Liontrust SF Global Growth Fund, GF SF Global Growth and SF Managed Growth Fund, and co-fund manager on the SF Managed, SF Cautious Managed and SF Defensive Managed funds. Simon holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Newcastle, Australia and a graduate diploma in Applied Finance & Investment from Securities Institute of Australia. Biography | Peter Michaelis joined Liontrust in April 2017 following the acquisition of Alliance Trust Investments, where he was Head of Investment. Peter has been managing money in Sustainable and Responsible Investment for over 20 years. After completing a PhD in Environmental Economics, Peter started his career working for the Steel Construction Institute as an Environmental Engineer. He then moved to Henderson Global Investors where he was able to use his experience as a Sustainable and Responsible Investment Analyst and Assistant Portfolio Manager. In 2001 he moved to Aviva Investors, where he was promoted to lead Portfolio Manager on a number of its Sustainable and Responsible Investment funds, before being made Head of Sustainable and Responsible Investment. Peter holds an MA in Physics from Oxford University, an MSc in Energy and Environmental Engineering from the University of Sussex and a PhD in Environmental Economics from the University of Surrey. In addition, he has the CFA Society of the UK Investment Management Certificate (IMC). | ||

Biography | Neil Brown joined Liontrust in 2017 after spending five years at Alliance Trust Investments as investment manager on the European funds, before being promoted to lead fund manager on them at Aviva Investors in 2011. Prior to Aviva, he was at Threadneedle Asset Management where he combined the roles of Pan European Equity Analyst and Head of Governance and Responsible Investment. Neil is lead fund manager on the SF European Growth OEIC and SF Pan European SICAV. He is co-fund manager on the SF UK Growth and UK Ethical funds. A frequent guest host on CNBC Squawk box, Neil is also the immediate past Chair of the Investment Integration Working Group, a member of the Listed Equity Advisory Committee and a member of the Sustainable Development Goals in Active Ownership Management Working Group of the UN Principles for Responsible Investment. Neil has an MSc in Development Economics from the School of Oriental & African Studies and a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Manchester. | ||

Biography | Clare joined Morley Fund Management in December 2000. She started as a manager of SRI funds at Jupiter Asset Management in 1990, then joined NPI in 1994 in a similar capacity, where she was made a Director in 1997. In 1999 she became Director and Fund Manager of SRI for Henderson Investors. Funds previously managed by Clare have won five Micropal awards one of which was the top performing pension fund in the UK. Clare holds a degree in History from Oxford University. |
