Biography Chen Fan Fai was appointed as the Director of Investment/Deputy CEO of Kenanga Investors Berhad (formerly known as CMS Trust Management Berhad) on 1 November 2010. Fan Fai joined the Kenanga Group in March 2007 bringing with him more than 16 years experience managing portfolios invested in regional equities and bonds. On 1st November 2010, he was transferred to his current position in KIB. Prior to joining the Kenanga Group, he was the Chief Investment Officer of Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad. He has also held senior investment positions with UOB Asset Management Limited, OCBC Asset Management Limited and Singapore Unit Trust Limited. Biography Mr David joined Affin Hwang Asset Management Berhad in 2002 as Head of Equities and assumed the role of Chief Investment Officer in September 2006. David was initially signed on as a Senior Portfolio Manager in HwangDBS IM on 1 June 2005. David currently holds a valid and existing Capital Markets and Services Representative’s Licence to carry out fund management in securities. He graduated with both Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and Bachelor of Law degrees from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia and he has also attained the status of Chartered Financial Analyst. In total, David has over 7 years of equities investment experience in managing both institutional and unit trust funds. Prior to joining HwangDBS IM, he spent 5 years at HLG Asset Management Sdn. Bhd. and 2 years at HDBSAM as a Fund Manager. Apart from managing funds, he was also tasked with setting up the fixed income investment infrastructure and process and was also involved in overseeing the management of fixed income mandates at HLG Asset Management prior to his departure. One of the key responsibilities of David at HwangDBS IM is the setting of investment strategy for the assets under management. He graduated with a double degree in Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and Bachelor of Law from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
